Driver App Privacy Policy

Data collected in TowRide Driver

• phone number and profile data for driver account access;
• driver name, rating, vehicle information and work settings;
• driver documents or vehicle photos if uploaded for verification;
• available, accepted and completed order information;
• precise location and route points while the driver is online or performing an active order;
• technical and diagnostic data required for app stability and safety.

Background location

TowRide Driver uses background location only while the driver is online or performing an active order. This is a core function of the driver app.

Background location is used to:

• show the driver’s movement to the client during an active order;
• track progress of the route and order stages;
• calculate factual driven distance for completed orders;
• keep the trip status accurate if the driver locks the screen or temporarily switches apps.

When location is not used

Location tracking is not intended for personal surveillance. The app should not use driver location for completed orders or when the driver is offline, except where limited technical data is required for security or support.

Data sharing

During an active order, relevant driver information and current movement may be shown to the client. We do not sell driver personal data.
